Wing grips / T-grips / grip nuts / grip screws
Wing grips and T-grips as well as grip nuts and screws are used as clamping, retaining and fastening elements in various applications. They are standard elements in machine and plant construction and function as manual controls on assemblies, machines or aggregates.
Wing grips are special operating elements that are used on machines, equipment or tools. The wing grips can be used to make adjustments or secure components. These grips have two laterally protruding wings that extend in opposite directions from the central anchor point.
The wings can be of different lengths and widths depending on their intended use. However, all versions always offer sufficient leverage to permit manual actuation with minimum effort.
The wing grips from KIPP are available with the following thread types:
- External thread
- Internal thread
- Hexagon socket
The threads are M4, M5, M6, M8 or M10. Various materials are used to make the wing grips. Materials such as stainless steel, polyamide or thermoplastic are used for the wings.
Stainless steel, brass and steel are used as screw materials. The use of robust materials ensures the durability and stability of the individual operating parts.
Wing grips are used for manual actuating screws, pins or other fastening elements. Their main function is to fixate, loosen or adjust components. They are used where regular manual adjustments are required.
The grips are used in a wide range of industrial applications. They are often used in production technology, e.g. on clamping fixtures on machines. Wing grips also ensure a secure and reliable fastening in plant construction and assembly.

Efficient handling with wing screws and wing nuts from KIPP
Wing screws are particularly suitable for simple screw connections. Their design makes them easy to tighten and loosen again without tools. This makes them ideal for applications where flexibility and user-friendliness are required.
Our wing screws are made from high-quality 1.4404 stainless steel and are high-gloss polished. The surface finish is 0.8 µm, which guarantees is an exceptionally smooth finish.
Regardless of the installed position, dirt and residues can hardly adhere.
This makes cleaning much easier and contributes to hygienic use. You can use specially designed seal and shim washer from the Hygienic USIT® series to achieve a hygienic seal for your screw points. These ensure an almost cavity-free seal that meets the highest hygiene requirements. The shaft of the wing screw is precisely matched to these seals to achieve optimum results.
In addition, the KIPP range also offers wing nuts for Hygienic USIT®. As the name suggests, wing nuts have lateral wings. These enable quick and easy manual operation.
A wing nut is particularly suitable for applications where frequent assembly and disassembly work is required and no tools are desired.
In addition to the wing nut for Hygienic USIT®, the range also includes a narrow wing nut in Hygienic Design.
Versatile: T-grips for precise work
The ergonomic T form of a T-grip enables optimum leverage and power transmission. It is used with tools or mechanical fixtures to facilitate precise and force-intensive work. T-grips from KIPP are available in a wide range of versions and materials. They are available with both internal and external threads and in sizes M5, M6, M8, M10 and M12.
High-quality materials such as thermoset, stainless steel and thermoplastic are used for the body. The screw parts are made from brass or steel.
Grip screws and nuts from KIPP
Grip screws have an ergonomically shaped grip. This helps by manual and tool-free tightening or loosening of the screws. They are primarily used where quick and easy adjustment or fastening is required.
Made from high-quality black thermoplastic, these grip screws offer a robust and durable solution for numerous application areas. The threaded pin is made from either steel or stainless steel. The steel version is blue passivated and the stainless steel version is bright. The material and surface properties ensure high corrosion resistance and versatility.
The counterpart to these are grip nuts. Grip nuts enable easy fastening or adjustment. They are made from black thermoplastic and have a robust tapped bush. This is made from steel, stainless steel or brass, depending on the type.
The steel bushes are blue passivated, while the stainless steel and brass versions are left bright.
The grip nuts from KIPP have high stability and corrosion resistance. This makes them ideal for use in machine construction, clamping fixtures and other technical applications.
The advantages of different grips
The individual lock, retaining and fastening elements from KIPP offer specific advantages. These vary depending on the application and requirements.
